Reviewers
As described in the article evaluation process, only texts that pass the initial review will be subjected to the assessment of two external reviewers, using the double-blind system. However, it is important to note that the preliminary review does not address the substantive content and/or the manuscript's contribution to the consolidation of scientific culture in the world; it is merely a compliance with formalities and basic requirements. Therefore, the Reviewers have full autonomy to issue their verdict based on their technical and research expertise.
Therefore, as an act of reciprocity with Región Científica and the academic world, it is expected that evaluations will be carried out based on principles of objectivity, impartiality, and without academic and/or personal biases. This is done with the purpose of ensuring total quality in the evaluation process. In this way, the following is expected from reviewers:
- Objective and confidential review of the article, taking into account the instructions for authors and the in-depth development of each of the sections established by Región Científica.
- Request critical analysis from the authors, as well as supporting their positions based on theoretical guidelines and/or research results, avoiding personal conjectures.
- Justify their observations from academic positions, always showing respect for the authors.
- Adhere to the deadlines set by Región Científica for the submission of the assigned evaluation, and also submit the required editorial formats.
- Inform the Editor of any updates regarding the manuscript, whether it be due to possible similarities or ethical misconduct.
Note: If you encounter any ethical, legal, or academic obstacles in evaluating the article, please notify the Editor immediately, who will take the necessary actions.
General Aspects of the Evaluation
For Región Científica, it is a priority that the evaluation grid is completed in its entirety, and that a comment is provided for each evaluated item. This information is vital for the authors, in case changes and/or adjustments are requested, and for the Editor, who will prepare the respective report for the Editorial Committee.
Furthermore, it is important that a classification for the manuscript is provided at the end, according to the criteria described in the article evaluation process, and that a qualitative judgment of the manuscript is made, always with the intention of improvement and respect for differences.
