Abstract

This study carried out a bibliometric review of the scientific production that linked economic inequality with access to education in Latin America and drew on Web of Science and Scopus (2000–2025). Lotka’s, Bradford’s, and Zipf’s laws, together with the Hirsch index (h-index), were applied to analyze patterns of authorship, academic impact, editorial concentration, and thematic evolution. The results evidenced growth, albeit limited, in publications on how economic inequity conditioned the exercise of the right to education, especially in regions with high structural exclusion such as Central America (particularly Honduras). Clusters were identified around inequality, poverty, and the digital divide. The review specified geographical and methodological gaps and provided empirical inputs to guide interdisciplinary agendas and the design of evidence-informed public policies with a focus on social justice and human development.
