Región Científica has been created as an academic publication under the guidelines of open access and, therefore, can be freely consulted without registration, subscription, or payment, allowing unrestricted downloading, distribution, copying, and printing of its material, thus ensuring compliance with the following objectives:

• Unrestricted access to information without economic, legal, or technical barriers.
• Increased visibility and impact of the institution and its researchers.
• Authors retain their copyrights and may publish their articles in other media. They authorize the journal to publish and distribute them under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.

Región Científica, consistent with its higher purpose, advocates the removal of barriers that limit access to scientific research products as a universal heritage of humanity, considering that this is a commitment to the generation of knowledge exchange.
